Gratitude is…

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.” John F. Kennedy

With that, I say: I am so grateful. I’m grateful for the big things and the little things. For the hard days and the happiest ones. For my loved ones and for having them in my life, even when not as much as I would like to. I’m grateful for what I’ve done right but also for my mistakes. They made me grow and I learned with them.

I’m grateful for being me, with my limitations and my great ideas, the darkness and the light in me. The things that make me who I am, and the will to take steps forward and improve myself.

We should learn to love ourselves better. Love is given to us for free and we don’t seem to appreciate the gratuity and greatness of it. Go be grratful. Go love. Go!

I’m here doing just that. Loving what is given me and understanding that life not only gives us good moments, and that’s alright, because going through tough situations make us stronger.

Yes, you may think this sounds cliche. That’s because it does. But the thing is, people hear it; people say it; but most people don’t actually get it. What it means is: live your life, be free, be happy and if life throws you something that hurts you and make you feel less than what you are and what you deserve, get up and fight back, to show life and yourself that you can win, and you’ll stand up tall and be proud to be you. Because when we dream big and reach to the clouds, we may fall, but than we will fly!

Happy thoughts toady, amores!
